WBREDA has installed 100 nos. of Solar PV Street Lighting Systems at the Milan Mela for the 37th Kolkata International Book Fair – 2013 (January 26 to February 10, 2013).

WBREDA has its stall (Stall No.: 119), Opposite to the Milan Mela Administrative Building (very close to our stall location as it was in the last year). All interested people are hereby intimated to visit the stall, interact with our on-duty Officials at the stall. You may drop your comments, suggestions at our ‘Drop Box’. You may place any sort of Renewable Energy Products, Exhibitions, Posters, Leaflets, Booklets, Books etc. there. Recent Development

The power demand in Sagar Island is, at present, met from Solar PV Power of aggregate capacity about 250 kW and from a diesel generator power system of capacity 400 kW. The total number of consumer in Sagar Island is to the tune of 1500 now.

However, there are a large number of prospective consumers, who are awaiting for electric power.Under such circumstances,WBREDA has decided to set up a Wind-Diesel Hybrid power Plant of capacity 500 kW to cater the need of the Island people. [ more ]
